Cognitive biases undermine good judgment and decision-making—not only in Search and Rescue (SAR) operations but in every aspect of life. While we are all susceptible to biases, it is possible to recognize them and mitigate their impact.
This course empowers participants with a deeper understanding of cognitive biases and their influence on critical decisions. Participants will learn how to identify biases and implement strategies to reduce or counteract their effects.
Through real-world case studies and hands-on practical exercises, participants will apply a variety of tools and techniques to minimize, if not eliminate, bias in their professional practice, enhancing both decision-making quality and operational outcomes.
