Structured K9 Search Workshop

Course Description

Introduction

K9 search teams must not only conduct searches but also do so in a structured and methodical manner. A systematic approach enhances search efficiency and boosts confidence in the search process. From a search management perspective, this structure significantly increases the likelihood of successful detections.

This workshop provides handlers with practical tools to train and work more effectively with their dogs. The structured exercises enhance communication between handler and dog, improving control over range, speed, and direction, while also boosting the dog’s motivation and engagement.

While this training is particularly beneficial for Area Search and Avalanche dogs, it also serves as a valuable complement to other disciplines, such as rubble search.

Designed to meet the evolving demands of modern rescue operations, this training ensures that participants are fully prepared to respond efficiently and save lives when it matters most.
