The Peruvian Air Force (FAP) requested support after the trainer combat aircraft FAP-446 went missing over the Pacific Ocean. Rescue International conducted a comprehensive Search Analysis using advanced methodologies and geospatial assessments to narrow the potential impact zone and evaluate the possibility that the pilot might be adrift.
Through international collaboration and diplomatic coordination with European agencies, multiple space-based remote-sensing resources were deployed, enabling coverage of a wide expanse of ocean. The team performed detailed analysis of contextual environmental and situational factors surrounding the disappearance.
Based on these findings, Rescue International delivered a set of recommendations and a prioritized search area to the Air Force. The oceanographic research vessel BAP Carrasco was subsequently deployed to the designated sector, where both the pilot and the aircraft wreckage were located.
