Course Description

Introduction

This course offers an introduction to analysis for Search and Rescue (SAR) planning.

Participants will gain a deep understanding of how analysis and critical thinking can significantly enhance the search management process. By adopting a more analytical approach, SAR planners can increase accuracy, optimize the allocation of search resources, and ultimately improve the efficiency of search operations.

Through the examination of real-world cases, participants will develop the ability to recognize and address cognitive biases, refining their analytical skills and adding valuable insights to search planning. This training will help them make better-informed decisions, improving both the effectiveness and economy of SAR efforts.
