This course equips handlers with the knowledge and skills to work safely with their K9 partners in rope-related operations and high-angle environments. In certain scenarios, ropes are the only means of entry or exit from the work area, making specialized training essential.
While technical rescue teams excel at building rope systems, they are not typically trained dog handlers. Therefore, it is critical for handlers to be proficient in safely managing their dogs within rope systems. Additionally, dogs must be well-socialized with ropework to prevent it from interfering with their search performance or compromising the safety of both the dog and handler.
Designed to meet the evolving demands of modern rescue operations, this training ensures that participants are fully prepared to respond effectively, maximizing safety and saving lives when every moment counts.
